What’s a Bluetooth Gaming Chair and How Does It Work?
A Bluetooth gaming chair is just like how it sounds: a chair with Bluetooth functionality that’s designed with gamers in mind.
Bluetooth or wireless gaming chair can be connected to a gaming console or PC using a wireless transmitter or other wired connection methods. They’re designed ergonomically with lots of adjustments and comfort features.
However, keep in mind that Bluetooth chairs still use some wiring. For example, you need to connect your Bluetooth chair to a power supply before using it. You also need to connect the transmitter to the TV for your gaming chair’s sound system to work with your console.
Gaming chairs also have exotic designs that have more playful looks and colors than office chairs.

4 Ways to Connect Your Bluetooth Gaming Chair to Your Xbox One
You can connect your gaming chair to Xbox One using one of the following methods:
Connecting Your Bluetooth Gaming Chair to Xbox One Wirelessly
The first and probably the most convenient way to use a Bluetooth gaming chair with your Xbox One is to connect them wirelessly. After all, you don’t need more unnecessary cables hanging around your setup.
There’s one little problem, though: the Xbox One doesn’t support Bluetooth.
But the good news is that you can get around this by using a wireless transmitter.
To connect your gaming chair to your Xbox One wirelessly via Bluetooth, connect the chair to a power outlet and make sure that it’s turned on.
Then, connect your Xbox One to your TV using an HDMI-HDMI cable.
Now, you need to connect your gaming chair’s wireless transmitter to the TV via the 3.5mm-3.5mm audio cable.
But wait! Isn’t this supposed to be a wireless connectivity method?
Well, yes, but you still need to connect the wireless transmitter to the TV using a cable. The “wireless” connection is actually between the chair and the console, not the chair and the TV.
There’s something that you need to keep in mind, though: different TVs may come with different audio outputs.
If your TV has a standard or analog audio output, you’re in luck because these work pretty well with the audio cable that comes with most Bluetooth or wireless gaming chairs. A headphone jack should get the job done too.
On the other hand, if your TV only has optical, digital, or coaxial digital audio output, you’ll probably need to get an optical-RCA or optical-cable adapter to connect your chair to the TV.
There are plenty such cables out there, here's an example:
Simple and cheap option to connect your chair to your TV.
Establishing a Wired RAC Connection Between Your Bluetooth Gaming Chair and Xbox One
Just because your gaming chair has Bluetooth connectivity doesn’t mean that you can’t connect it to your console the old way.
To connect your gaming chair to your console with a wired connection, you need to have 2 B3 barrel adapters, a short 3.5mm RAC cable, and a long 3.5mm RAC cable. Most gaming chairs come with these connectors and adapters included with the package.
Next, connect your Xbox to the TV and set up your RAC cables using the B3 barrel adapters. Then, connect the chair to the TV by plugging in the green end of the wires into the TV’s audio output and the white and red ends into the chair’s electronic unit.
Of course, you might need an extra adapter depending on your TV’s audio output type.
Setting Up a Connection Between Your Gaming Chair and Xbox One With an AUX Cord
Another method to connect your gaming chair to your Xbox one is to use an AUX cord. The advantage of this way is that it’s super easy and doesn’t require any special adapters or connectors. All you need is an AUX cord and a TV that has an AUX jack.
To connect the chair to your Xbox one, simply plug one end of the AUX cord into the chair’s control panel and the other end into the TV’s headphone jack.
Using an HDMI Cable to Connect Your Gaming Chair to Your Xbox One
Connecting your chair to your Xbox One via HDMI is pretty straightforward since the Xbox One already has a built-in HDMI port. You just need to make sure that your chair has an HDMI port too.
Simply connect one end of the HDMI cable into the TV’s port, with the other end being connected to the chair's port.
Benefits of Bluetooth Gaming Chairs
You might be wondering why you should go through that hassle to connect your Xbox to a chair. If you don’t already know, here are some of the perks of using a Bluetooth gaming chair.
Adjustability
Bluetooth wireless gaming chairs offer a high level of adjustability. You can adjust the backrest, armrests, seat depth, seat height, and lumbar support based on your body measurements. This way, you can protect yourself from straining your muscles and joints. A gaming chair also helps you stay comfortable during long gaming sessions.
Immersive Sound Experience
A good sound system can totally revamp how you play games, and for that, Bluetooth gaming chairs come with built-in speakers that fill the room with fine-tuned surround sound for the ultimate sound experience.
Usually, a gaming chair’s sound setup will include 2 or 4 speakers, in addition to 1 subwoofer.
Extra Functions
Gaming chairs aren’t like any cheap office chair at Walmart. These chairs offer some cool features that you won’t find in regular chairs. For example, many gaming chairs come with interactive vibrators that immerse you into the game. They may also come with foldable storage space.
Some gaming chairs have a “massage” function that loosens your back muscles and joints.
Final Words
When all is said and done, connecting your Xbox One to your gaming chair isn’t that complicated. Sure, you might require some adapters depending on how you want to connect it, but the whole thing shouldn’t take more than a few minutes in all cases.
Whether you connect them using an HDMI cable, an AUX cord, a wireless transmitter, or a RAC connector, you’ll be able to get the most out of your wireless gaming chair.
